We seek to accurately re-create the lives of the people who dwelt in Britain around a thousand years ago; from the time of Alfred the Great to that of Richard the Lionheart. We are a group of enthusiasts who work hard to recreate images of the past that Anglo-Saxons, Vikings, Normans and the other peoples of that far off time would find in no way unusual. Some of us are fighters, others are craftsmen and living historians - often we are all of these. |

Our presentations of 'Simon & Betsy Kenton' and 'Squire & Jane Boone' have been thoroughly researched and documented, and are presented in a Chautauqua-like manner. We feel that the use of first person portrayals is a wonderful tool in bringing history alive for young and old alike. My wife Nancy and I have been living historians of the 18th century for over 30 years, and we have been doing first person presentations of Simon and Betsy Kenton, and also more recently, of Squire and Jane Boone, Daniel Boone's younger brother. Our performances have been seen throughout the mid-west at living history events, museums, and as the main event at meetings, schools, libraries, and historical and genealogical societies. We invite you to contact us for our presentation at your event, group, or community function for a trip back to life in the early frontier, listening to the tales of what life was really like for the settlers and frontiersmen in the 'Middle Ground'. |
