Pirate weekend on the Santa Maria

September 17th, 18th and 19th of 2010

Information for Re-enactor/Participants only!

Participant/Re-enactor Schedule

  • Friday
    • Arrive, socialize and camp out on the ship (for those who wish to).
    • For those who wish, we have been asked to pay a visit to a party on the north side of the city at about 7:30 PM. The location is about a half an hour drive from the ship. Our visit will mostly be for photo opportunities at this "Treasure Island" themed party.
    • Some planning and brain storming for weekend battle scenarios may take place
  • Saturday
    • Breakfast. Details to be determined.
    • 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM Weapons checks and safety talks. Also last minute skirmish planning.
      All particpants planning on participating in the battles for this day must be present for this meeting.
    • 11:00 Ship open to spectators. Historic talks and presentations ongoing throughout the day.
    • At 1:00 PM a local Sea Shanty band "The Hard Tackers" to perform.
    • About 3:00 PM (+/- a half an hour to an hour). Main battle scenario. *
    • 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, supper (details to be determined).
    • A charity auction for the participants only. As half of the Dead Man's Chest auction will be through eBay, the other half will be for the participants.
    • Camp out on the ship (for those who wish to).
  • Sunday
    • Breakfast. Details to be determined.
    • 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM Weapons checks and safety talks. Also last minute skirmish planning.
      All particpants planning on participating in the battles for this day must be present for this meeting.
    • 11:00 Ship open to spectators. Historic talks and presentations ongoing throughout the day.
    • About 3:00 PM (+/- a half an hour to an hour). Main battle scenario. *
    • Around 6:00 PM, start to tidy up and clear off ship to end the weekend.
  • Ongoing throughout the weekend

* In the past, we have on occassion also done a second battle skirmish at around 4:00 PM pending the available time, resources, and audience interest.
